Let's see... these days I've mainly been listening to Public Image Ltd, Hood, Tortoise, Joy Division, Mogwai, My Blood Valentine... and today I was shown Clinic and enjoyed them immensely.

i have a bright picture or a normal picture, but i want to choose where my shadows are. Like over the face or something.

Oh. Well you can't "choose" where the shadows are, you have basically two options: either use Levels, Curves, or Brightness&Contrast to bring out any shadows that are in the picture (and if there aren't, you will basically end up darkening the darkest parts of the picture) OR you can use the "Burn" tool, where you can choose whether you want to burn highlights, midtones, or shadows, and how much. If you don't know the burn tool, just search it in "help", and it will point it out for you.
